... ENGLISH... The practice of Yin Yoga is an internal experience towards the permanent, the deep and the stillness. We live in a culture where we are constantly doing things, activities and responsibilities that do not give rest to our mind or body. Most of these daily activities are called Yang energy. Yang is the opposite energy to Ying and it does not mean that it is bad to carry out 'Yang' activities, but it is important that we have a balance between the two. The balance between both energies requires awareness of them and honoring both equally. The characteristics of Yin energy are femininity, receptivity, creativity, softness, gentleness, acceptance, stillness... while those of Yang energy are masculinity, changes, movement, strength, passion, logic, power... As you master both by allowing your yin and yang expressions to exist in balance, much of the daily stress and suffering naturally disappears. There are a lot of people who suffer from anxiety, depression and heartbreak in life due to the repression of their masculine or feminine expression. Returning to the fact that by culture we tend to stimulate our Yang energy more during the day, the practice of Yin yoga can help you compensate by activating your Yin side. What is Yin Yoga The difficulty of a Yin yoga class is not the complicated asanas or the accelerated rhythm of the sequence, as can be in other yoga practices, but rather finding stillness during the postures and this, believe me, can make finishing a class even more complicated. . But don't go! Yin yoga gives you the opportunity to stand, be present and work internally while being aware of your breath, while improving your flexibility, so it's worth it to hang in there. We can say that Yin yoga is like a meditation in movement that aims to strengthen and lubricate the joints and connective tissue such as tendons, ligaments and fascia. The more we work the fascia and the deep tissues, the less tense our bodies will be. These stretches and movements that help hydrate the fascia help slow down aging. Holding in a position where you are stretching so deeply for a long time can be very uncomfortable and our body can automatically start to tense up and activate our fight and flight system. Yin yoga teaches us to redirect our minds and calm down in stressful situations. So keep in mind that Yin Yoga will not only help calm and balance Yang energy, but as we age, our bones begin to degenerate, we lose mobility in our joints, and our fascia tightens. But a constant practice of Yin Yoga helps us regain mobility and relieve pain in the body and not only that... Yin Benefits • Focuses on connective tissues, including fascia, bones, and joints. • You reduce stress • Increases circulation • Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of prana. • Balance our yoga practice yang or more active • Stress relief • Improves flexibility • Promotes mindfulness and meditation.
